Activity During WWII

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a pilot and fought in the Pacific during WWII. He was awarded a Silver Star for sinking a Japanese cruiser with armor piercing bombs. He was stationed at Opa-Locka, Florida north of Miami teaching combat tactics to future pilots. He also served as commander of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
