Prisoner of War Stalag 17B, from April 18, 1944 to May 5, 1945. Belly gunner on the B-17 Bomber. He was on his 21st bombing mission when they were shot down. They bailed out and he landed in one of Hitler's Army camps. They were liberated by one of General George Patton's Army Patrols.
