Died serving as Quartermaster at Fort Riley, Kansas. He worked from Pearl Harbor day to the 29th of December with very little sleep, trying to get supplies to the East Coast for the European Theater and the West Coast for the Pacific Theater. He died of a massive heart attack due to stress and little sleep. He was a 30 year Regular Army member, started with the 7th Cavalry.
