Activity During WWII

During the early years of the war he was assigned to Grosse Ile, Michigan, Corpus Christi, Texas, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Oak Harbor, Washington. He served with various ships, squadrons and stations as a radio operator, technician, instructor as well as attending various military electronic schools. He was a part of the task force that was organized to retake part of the Aleutian Islands, in Alaska. Fortunately, the Japanese departed before the U.S. attacked. He did spend time at Naval Station Adak during the war.
