In the National Guard when Mobilized. Joined Air Force and trained as Flight Engineer. Was on B-29 in the Pacific. Killed in 1961 when the KC97 had a propeller shear off. They had taken another crew's fighting place. They warned off a fighter plane before Return fueling.
