Activity During WWII

After earning his degree in Political Science from University of California Berkeley in 1943, he entered the United States Army. He served two years as an Infantryman on Luzon Island in the South Pacific before being honorably discharged as a Sergeant on December 15, 1945. He earned multiple decorations including a Bronze Star Medal and a Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.
