Activity During WWII

Reported for duty at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Was there for only 5 days before being deployed overseas. Took the RMS Queen Elizabeth across Atlantic (without convoy) and landed in Northern Island. Member of the V Corps Headquarters, which was in charge of 4th and 29th Divisions. Specific job was testing flamethrowers in Bristol and Cheltenham, England. Liberated Paris. One battle star. Served proudly with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
