January 26, 1944, A transport plane, a C-54A, was carrying home men who had served their time in China. The plane crashed after take off at Accra, Gold Coast, Africa, killing all on board. He served with the 341st Bomb Group, 22nd Bomb Squadron, and was a B-25 Navigator.
