Joined Marine Corps in January 1945 following 17th birthday. Completed Boot Camp at Parris Island April 1945. Went directly to and completed Administration School at Parris Island July 1945. Assigned to Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Washington, D.C. Was there when WWII ended. WWII Victory medal. Retired from Marine Corps at rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
