PRIVATE FIRST CLASS. Served as an Infantryman in Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines, 2nd Marine Division. He served on Saipan and Tinian as a heavy machine gunner. On Okinawa, he was an automatic rifleman. Served with the Marine Corps from January 1944 to April 1946.
