ENLISTED IN MILITARY SERVICE IN 1944. TRAINED IN THE AMERICAN THEATER AT CAMP HOOD AT KILLEEN, TEXAS. SERVED WITH THE MILITARY POLICE OVERSEAS IN THE EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN THEATER IN GERMANY IN THE EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS (ETO) DURING THE WAR. THEN SERVED WITH OCCUPATION FORCES IN GERMANY AFTER THE END OF HOSTILITIES. AWARDED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, WWII VICTORY MEDAL, AND ARMY OF OCCUPATION MEDAL WITH ‘GERMANY’ CLASP. HONORABLY DISCHARGED IN 1946 WITH THE RANK OF STAFF SERGEANT AND ISSUED THE HONORABLE SERVICE LAPEL BUTTON.
