ENLISTED IN MILITARY SERVICE IN 1942. TRAINED IN THE AMERICAN THEATER AT ALBUQUERQUE ARMY AIR FIELD, NEW MEXICO; ROSWELL ARMY AIR FIELD, NEW MEXICO; AND JEFFERSON BARRACKS AT BARNHART, MISSOURI. SERVED OVERSEAS IN THE EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN THEATER AT GREAT ASHFIELD, SUFFOLK, ENGLAND (AAF STATION 155) WITH THE 8TH AIR FORCE DURING THE WAR. AWARDED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, AND WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED IN 1945 WITH THE RANK OF SERGEANT AND ISSUED THE HONORABLE SERVICE LAPEL BUTTON.
