SERVED FROM FEBRUARY 23, 1943 UNTIL HIS DEATH ON MARCH 14, 1945. SERVED WITH THE 101ST INFANTRY REGIMENT, 26TH INFANTRY DIVISION. WAS KILLED IN ACTION IN SERRIG, GERMANY. AWARDED THE BRONZE STAR MEDAL, PURPLE HEART WITH OAK LEAF CLUSTER AND THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL.
