Inducted December 2, 1942. Discharged February 14, 1946, Honorable Discharge. Ratings: Private, Signal Corps Base Training 521, Corporal, MP 677, Staff Sergeant, Motor Sergeant 345, Staff Sergeant, Truck Master 345, 2nd Signal Service Battalion. Served in Hawaii, Japan, Okinawa and the Marshall Islands. Came to Fauquier County, Virginia in 1942 as a Military Policeman at Vint Hill Farms Station.
