He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 4 years in the Pacific Theater with the 169th Infantry Division, 43RD INFANTRY DIVISION IN GUADALCANAL, RUSSELL ISLANDS, NEW GUINEA AND THE PHILIPPINES during WWII. He was AWARDED THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER CAMPAIGN RIBBON AND WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
