Activity During WWII

He was attached to the 5th 'Red Diamond' Infantry Division. He was stationed in Iceland, Northern Ireland, and England. He landed in Southern France a month after D-Day and was involved in many combat situations. He was captured by the Germans and sent to a prison camp near Munich until he was liberated by elements of General George Patton's 3rd Army on April 25, 1945.
