Activity During WWII

He was a crewman on Navy PBM-5 bomber float plane stationed at Tawi Tawi in the Philippine Islands. His plane forced down near island of Celebes, Crew went ashore and the following day engaged the Japanese land force. He became a Prisoner of War for 2 months and then killed just 10 days before the end of the war on August 4, 1945. He was awarded the Silver Star, the Air Medal, and the Purple heart among other combat medals.
