Activity During WWII

U.S. Army, Quartermaster Corps, 489th Quartermaster Depot Company; Technical Sergeant. He was stationed at Moreton-on-Lugg, England; July, 1943 to July, 1944. He was the Assistant Warehouse Manager and PX Shopkeeper. As part of the European Theater of Operations Advance Base, he supported the VII Corps in Normandy and the 1st Army in Northern France and the Rhineland. He landed at Omaha Beach and was first stationed in Barneville sur Mer on the Contentin Peninsula, Normandy then moved to Paris in September, 1944 and finally to Reims, France in November, 1944. He Received three bronze battle stars for the Battle of Normandy, Battle of the Bulge and Battle of Germany. He was honorably discharged in November, 1945.
