Service: U.S. Army, PRIVATE FIRST CLASS, B company, 162ND Calvary Reconnaissance and 41ST 'Jungleers' Infantry Division. April 10, 1942; San Francisco, 41st division arrived in Melbourne, Australia. Two days later the 162nd division departing from New York arrived and all troops moved to Seymour where training commenced. During May the remainder of the division arrived. July 4, 1942 Orders were received to move from Seymour, Victoria to Rockhampton, Queensland. December 1942 The 162 Calvary Reconnaissance, 41st Division was ordered to the New Guinea campaign. March-April 1944 The 41st Division, designated Letterpress Landing Force participated in the Hollandia-Tanamura Bay operation. May 1944 The 41st, designated as the Hurricane Task Force, landed on Biak. He was shot and killed in Action on May 31, 1944 just 4 days into Battle of Biak. He received the purple heart. He is interned at Manila American Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio, Manila, Philippines.
