He served as a Non-Commissioned Officer and Sergeant with the artillery of the 45th 'Thunderbird' Division. his unit had fought on Sicily and would go on to accomplishments at Anzio, Southern France and Germany. He was sadly lost in late 1943 near the Volturno River during the liberation of Europe. his sacrifices and personal valor helped to ensure Allied victory and helped to overcome the forces of tyranny in WWII.
