Activity During WWII

Petty Officer 3rd Class, Served in the Asiatic-Pacific and American Theaters of Operation. His service was from 3/22/44 to 9/22/46. He first served aboard the USS Wharton AP-7 in Pearl Harbor, Saipan and Guam; then aboard the USS Kula Gulf CVE-108 in the East China seas, Okinawa. He entered the 'Magic Carpet Fleet' and ferried 600 military troops from China to San Francisco. He then returned to the Far East, Tientsin, Tsingtao, China and ferried 1,520 troops to the west coast. He sailed to Panama through the Canal to the Boston Harbor where the USS Kula Gulf CVE-108 was decommissioned. He then served on the USS Benewah APB-35. And was then discharged 9/22/46.
