Enlisted on 4 August 1944, Discharged on 16 February 1946. Reported aboard the USS Collingsworth APA-146 commissioning crew a Haskell class Attack Transport from Terminal Island, California. 8 May to June 1945 cargo voyage to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Departed Seattle, Washington on 27 June 1945 sailed by way of Saipan and Ulithi to Okinawa arrived on 12 August 1945. Carried troops for the occupation of Inchon, Korea and Chinwangtao, China. Returned to Tacoma, Washington on 19 December 1945. Transferred on 16 February for discharge. Rating of Radarman Third Class Petty Officer.
