Activity During WWII

He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces to train as a pilot. He took basic training in Miami Beach, Florida, and Aviation Cadet classes at the University of Syracuse, Syracuse, New York. He did not become a pilot and was assigned to other duties in the Air Force which took him to bases located in Tennessee; Willow Run, Michigan; Biloxi, Mississippi; Panama City, Florida and Lincoln, Nebraska. He was honorably discharged in November, 1945, after two and a half years of service to our country.
