Activity During WWII

He was inducted into Military Service, 1941 in Indiantown, Pennsylvania. Basic training: Randolph Field, San Antonio, Texas; Victoria Field, Victoria, Texas. Spent three years in the U.S. Army Air Forces. Transferred to U.S. Army Infantry in 1944; stationed at Camp Maxie, Paris, Texas. Sent to Fort George Meade, Maryland for overseas assignment. Sailed on USS Richardson from USA to Le Havre, France. Joined the 100th Infantry Division, Company F, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Platoon. In combat at Heilbron, Germany. Combat ended for the 100th Division at Stuttgart, Germany in 1945 at war's end. Transferred to Reims, France as Military Police. Transferred to Marseilles, France for shipment back to USA, Arrived in Boston, Massachusetts with the 28th Yankee Infantry. Discharged 2 January 1946.
