Fought in already occupied Utah Beach and on into Germany. En route, demoed captured German arms. Wounded in the Battle of the Bulge, January 17, 1945, after volunteering to go into German lines to seek enemy information. Medals: American Service, Good Conduct, European-African-Middle Eastern Service, AND Purple Heart.
