Activity During WWII

Enlisted January 17, 1941. Served in Company K, 149th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion, 75th Brigade, 38th Infantry Division 'Avengers of Bataan' in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was with the regiment fighting over the Zambales Mountains in the Philippine Islands sealing Japanese into the Bataan Peninsula serving as company messenger. Awarded American Defense Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater and Philippine Liberation Medals, Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal. Discharged November 6, 1945.
