Entering service in July of 1942, he was a member of the 94th Bombardment Group of the 8th Air Force. From bases in England, he flew on combat missions in B-17 aircraft, until he was sadly lost on January 11th, 1944, during a raid near Brunswick during the liberation of occupied Europe.
