Activity During WWII

Enlisted with the U.S. Army on August 27, 1942 and his release date was January 18, 1946. Stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He went through desert maneuvers and desert warfare training in California. He ALSO TOOK marksmanship training while at Camp San Luis Obispo, California. While stationed in Hawaii, after leaving California, he was with the medical detachment of the 1st Infantry. He served with the medical detachment, mostly in New Guinea. He also served in the Philippine Islands. He was a talented magician and he entertained the troops whenever he had the chance.
