Discharged 19 APRIL 1943 to transfer to the U.S. Army Air Forces. 2nd Lieutenant, U.S. Army Air Forces, Active duty; 2 SEPTEMBER 1944 TO 19 MARCH 1946. B-17 Bombardier, 1035, stationed in England for the Central Europe Campaign. Returned to U.S. on 25 JUNE 1945 to retrain for deployment in the Pacific. RECEIVED EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 1 Bronze Star, American Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal.
