Infantry basic training, sent to Ft. Ord Port of Embarkation for South Pacific duty. Was injured and required surgery was performed. Sent to Presidio of Monterey as supply clerk and then to Fresno Valley guarding German Prisoners of War. Took Prisoners by sea to Liverpool to help rebuild London. Went to Le Havre and brought GI's home. Discharged shortly after.
