Activity During WWII

Entering service in January of 1941, he was a member of the 315th Infantry of the 79th Division under General Patton's 3rd Army. He fought in the Battle for Cherbourg, then throughout France, at Haguenau and the Siegfried Line, before he was sadly lost on January 17th, 1945, in action near Hatten and Rittershoffen, during the liberation of Europe.
