Activity During WWII

Served in the China-Burma-India theater of operations with the Army Corps of Engineers. Responsible for building the Ledo Road. The Burma Road into China had been captured by the Japanese. A very limited amount of supplies and equipment could be flown through the Himalayan Mountains to THE Chinese allies. Building the Ledo Road ALLOWED SUPPLIES AND equipment through Burma to Chiang Kai-Shek's Chinese army.
