B Company, 11th Infantry, 5th Division, Rifleman, 745. Service dates: 12 April 1944-30 September 1945, Rhineland Campaign and Ardennes Campaign. European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with Two (2) Bronze Campaign Stars, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal. Wounded in France on 25 January 1945 (Lost index finger at second knuckle) and Germany on 13 February 1945 (Lost part of lung due to Shrapnel).
