Company M, 186th Infantry Regiment, 41st Division, Camp Murray, Washington: Washington coastal defense. Officer's Candidate School, Fort Benning, Georgia. 14th Infantry Regiment, Fort Davis, Panama Canal Zone. Leadership Rock Climbing School, Camp Carson, Colorado. Parachute School, Fort Benning, Georgia. 11th Airborne Division, New Guinea. Leader 1st Platoon, Company B, 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Jump on Tagaytay Ridge, Luzon, fighting north through Paranaque toward Nichols Field and Fort McKinley. Los Banos Prison Camp raid and prisoner rescue. Jump on Aparri, northern Luzon then south to Mount Malepunyo to clear out remaining Japanese resistance. Transported to Okinawa then to Atsugi airdrome, Yokohama, Japan. Victory ship to USA for discharge at Fort Lewis, Washington.
