28 May 1945, Reported aboard the USS LST-1144 Commissioning Crew. Transferred on 22 June 1946 to Great Lakes Naval Station, Illinois for Discharge. Served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Sailed 4 July 1945 from Mobile, Alabama to Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii through the Panama Canal arriving on 1 August 1945 where they were at on the end of hostilities with Japan. returned to Mobile, Alabama on 20 September 1945 assigned to the Atlantic Fleet. Rating of Radarman Third Class Petty Officer.
