Rank: Private. On October 17, 1942, he entered the United States Army at Denver, Colorado. Served with the 684th Ordnance Ammunition Company a subordinate unit of the U.S. Fifth Army in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. Monday, December 18, 1944 he died in a non-battle incident and buried in the Battlefield Cemetery at Castelfiorentino, Italy. After the cessation of hostilities in Europe, his family received his remains for burial, with interment March 11, 1949 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This Soldier, a Native American citizen, a descendant of the Ute tribe, so gallantly gave his life for his country.
