HE was a chaplain's assistant and fought in the Pacific under General MacArthur. His unit participated in the recapture of Bataan and Corregidor. HE was a member of the anti-aircraft artillery battalion which gave vital protection to Major General Chas. Hall's 11th Corps troops in their drive to open Manila Bay to Allied shipping.
