U.S. Army, 2nd Lieutenant. He was Killed In Action in Germany on 1 February 1945. He was commanding a Rifle Platoon of Company B and was killed after leading his men in an attack on a town in Germany. They encountered strong resistance but succeeded in securing their objective. He is buried in Morgan City Cemetery.
