Activity During WWII

Entered service August 5, 1943. Went to U.S. Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois; Went to Pleasanton, California, assigned to Carrier Aircraft Service Unit 30; Shipped to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and later shipped out to the Marshall Islands invasion; Landed January 31, 1944. Later reassigned to Carrier Aircraft Service Unit 20, and stationed on Roi-Namur Air Base; Promoted to Aviation Radioman 3rd Class, and worked on radio equipment on flight line; Returned stateside June, 1945 and went to Hutchinson, Kansas Air Base. Assigned to flight line as radio service technician to squadron of Privateers Bombers. Remained until discharged from service December 13, 1946.
