Enlisted in 1944; discharged in 1946; Stationed in Guam. Administered morphine and blood plasma to wounded Marines and boarded them on ship for transport to fleet hospitals on Guam. Soldier retrieval occurred under high-intensity noise conditions caused by kamikaze pilots using explosives to blow-up ships and return fire from Navy guns.
