He proudly served his country as an aeronautical engineer at Langley Memorial Aero Lab in Hampton, Virginia. In the 1940’s HE WAS recruited into the National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics (NACA). His mission was to develop warplanes whose engines operated efficiently. He and fellow engineers were inducted into the U.S. Army but never saw combat. Instead they were immersed in theorems and experiments aimed at getting the most efficient use or propellants pumped into the airplanes.
