Worked at the Pepperell Mill before joining the army in 1942. Assigned to the 384th Port Battalion and served in the invasion of North Africa. Killed in action in the invasion of Sicily on July 11, 1943. Received the Purple Heart and Good Conduct medal. Also received the European campaign ribbon.
