Activity During WWII

A waist gunner on a B-17 aircraft, he was a member of the 715th Bomb Squadron, 448th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force and killed over England returning from a raid over Germany on April 22, 1944. His aircraft, which had been badly damaged during the raid, was bounced as it tried to land by a German ME-109. He is buried in the U.S. Army Air Forces Cemetery in Cambridge, England.
