Activity During WWII

He served as a Sergeant in WWII with the 100th Infantry Division (Century Division), 397th Infantry Regiment, Second Battalion, Company E, in the European Theater of Operations. He was Killed in Action on April 14, 1945 and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the Silver Star for Gallantry in Action near Raon L'Etape, France.
