He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. HE PARTICIPATED IN THE ASSAULT LANDING ON GUADALCANAL IN 1942; ENEMY BOMBARDMENT of NEW GUINEA IN 1943; THE ASSAULT LANDING AT CAPE GLOUCESTER IN 1943 AND THE ASSAULT LANDING AT PELELIU, PALAU ISLANDS IN 1944. Among his awards are the American Defense Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Combat Action Medal, the WWII Victory Medal, Overseas Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
