Activity During WWII

Was a chef aboard LST-279 between 1942 until the end of the war in 1945. Was there on D-Day+1 June 7, 1944 to bring supplies and also to carry back the bodies of those who died on that day. He was able to make 37 crossing on the English Channel during the war.
