Worked as a Ordnance Supply Clerk (GS-4) at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, California from 1945 to 1946. While working as a clerk, she kept files on all military ships and their parts. When ships were damaged, she ordered the parts needed for repairs and shipped them to various ports up and down the West Coast.
