Served as a Chief flight nurse and was the first nurse to receive the Air Medal for combat operations in 1945 in the Pacific theater of Operations. She served with the 1125th U.S. Army Field Hospital. She also received the Pacific and American theater ribbons, the WWII Victory medal, and a Commendation for Merit.
