He was a Corporal in the First Army VII Corps, Field Artillery, Battery A. He trained at Fort Sill Artillery School. Fought through France, Belgium and into Germany to the Siegfried Line. Ordered back to Belgium and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Returned to Germany for the duration of the war.
