Activity During WWII

Served in the 313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division in Western Europe and was hit by shrapnel as the Company was attacking the Siegfried Line near Berg, Germany on December 19, 1944. Succumbed to his injuries on that day and was awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. Missing In Action and memorialized at the Luxembourg American Cemetery.
